How much does CryoCorrect treatment cost?

CryoCorrect is an affordable treatment option for patients looking to dramatically improve the appearance of their skin. The exact cost of your procedure will vary depending upon a number of factors including the size and location of your bothersome skin tag or dark spot. CryoCorrect is a much more cost effective solution than its invasive alternative, laser treatment.

It is important to plan an initial consultation with your chosen doctor to allow you to discuss costing in more detail based on your individual plan of treatment. While treatment cost will also vary depending upon your chosen treatment facility, it is important to not let this influence your choice of treatment provider. Paying slightly more to ensure that your treatment is carried out by a reputable doctor is well worth it in order to achieve quality results.

What is CryoCorrect treatment?

CryoCorrect is a non-invasive, in-office cosmetic treatment which can correct the appearance of dark spots and remove skin tags. CryoCorrect uses cryotechnology which gently freezes away unsightly blemishes, including skin tags, sun spots and age spots. It works using a controlled flow of carbon dioxide (CO2), which is delivered to the skin via an innovative treatment pen, known as the SkinCeutical CryoCorrect Precision Pen. CO2 is able to freeze the skin at a much milder temperature than alternative cryogens, such as nitrous oxide and liquid nitrogen. This means that CryoCorrect treatment can freeze the skin in a much softer and comfortable way, without having any negative effect on surrounding skin cells, helping to dramatically reduce your risk of scarring.

Freezing the area of an unsightly blemish causes the problematic skin cells to expand over a period of time, typically between 4 and 6 weeks. These cells then eventually break apart, effectively removing the bothersome area. After your CryoCorrect procedure, your treated skin lesion will slowly darken in colour and a scab will form over the area. This scab will naturally lift away after around 2 to 3 weeks and you will be left with fresh, healthy skin underneath.

How can CryoCorrect treatment help you?

To find out if CryoCorrect is the most suitable treatment for you, it is essential for you to book an initial consultation with your treatment provider. They will be able to assess your skin condition by performing a full skin check, then discuss your goals with you and together you will be able to form a personalised treatment plan.

If you are looking for an affordable, quick and non-invasive way of eliminating your bothersome skin lesions, then CryoCorrect could be just the answer!

Who is a good candidate for CryoCorrect treatment?

As mentioned above, it is important to discuss your suitability for treatment carefully with your doctor prior to committing to your CryoCorrect procedure. This should be done at your initial consultation appointment.

Generally speaking, CryoCorrect treatment is suitable for both men and women who are looking to remove:

  • Sun spots
  • Age spots
  • Skin tags

If you have already tried multiple alternative cosmetic treatments, including facials, chemical peels, laser treatment and microdermabrasion, then CryoCorrect could be the answer you are looking for!

How many CryoCorrect treatments will you need?

Many patients achieve their desired results from CryoCorrect treatment after only 1 session, with these results being visible after as little as 4 weeks. If you have a larger area to be treated or a particularly problematic skin lesion, then you may need to have several treatments to reach your optimal result.

 Is CryoCorrect treatment safe?

Obviously, when you consider any cosmetic procedure, one of your initial thoughts will be “is this safe?” Well, rest assured, CryoCorrect is not only considered to be very effective, but it is also extremely safe. It causes no damage to the skin surrounding the treated areas and is even suitable for sensitive skin.

As with any cosmetic procedure, there is the potential for some mild side effects, including localised redness and irritation. Typically a scab will form over the treated area after your procedure. To prevent scarring, it is important that you let this scab fall off naturally and avoid picking at it or forcing it off.

How long does CryoCorrect treatment take?

CryoCorrect is a very quick procedure, with treatment of each lesion only taking around 5-10 seconds. Typically, patients have around 1-10 lesions treated during 1 CryoCorrect session. This means that you can easily fit your treatment into your busy schedule, even attending the clinic during your lunch hour! As there is no downtime after CryoCorrect treatment, you can head straight back to work afterwards!

What aftercare is needed after CryoCorrect?

It is important to look after your treated area as you would a wound, to prevent infection. This means keeping it clean and dry at all times and avoid touching or picking at it. Your doctor will give you more specific instructions on how to take care of your skin after your procedure.

There are a couple of post-treatment skin care products, manufactured by SkinCeuticals and recommended by experts, which can help you to get the best results from your treatment. These include:

  • Phloretin CF® – a vitamin C-based antioxidant facial serum which works to protect from environmental toxins and improve the appearance of fine lines and discolouration
  • Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF 50 – a weightless mineral-based sunscreen
